This is year I lost my aunt to Cancer, the staff at Christie's supported not only her through her battle but my family and for this we are truly grateful. In tribute to her life I'm running 6 marathons in 12 months, this is by no means an easy challenge, but one I want to dedicate in my auntie's memory. My challenge started with the Snowdonia Marathon, followed by Liverbirds Marathon, Slaithwaite Slog, Manchester Marathon, London Marathon and will finish with the Snowdonia Marathon.Updates
Half way through
3rd April 2018I'm now half way through my 6 marathons in 12 months, with Snowdonia, Liverbirds and Slaithwaite already complete. Next will see me take on the Manchester Marathon in 5 days time and then London 2 weeks after that.
The challenge has been tough and I'm going through running shoes for fun, the last pair saw me through Liverbirds and Slaithwaite, but then I could see my socks through the holes. My latest pair arrived just before the weekend; I've left it a little late for the latest pair but managed to get a 12 mile run in yesterday in the snow and rain!
